Grey Water Systems
- A household of 4 can provide more than 10,000 L/month for greywater recycling.
- With as little as $500 out of pocket, you can have a reasonable recycling system fully installed with subsurface irrigation drip line to your garden, after $1000 rebates.
Rebates on Laundry/Toilet Connections
- Victorian government rebates have been extended for another 2 years. In most cases, additional cost is no more than $300 to connect laundry or toilet, as you are now able to claim rebates of upto $1400, so consider additional connections in your plans.

Quality Standards AS 4766
- Slim-line tanks are prone to bulging and leaking, unless manufactured to standards and there are new tough Australian standards known AS 4766.
- Very few tanks in the market meet these standards, so check before you buy and always buy the best, not the cheapest.
- Good tank designs have FEA (Finite Element Analysis) done on every tank design to make sure tanks will last longer. See samples below which show the effect of thin walls on the stress levels on the tank walls.
Compliance Certificate
- Plumbers are required to give you 'Compliance Certificate' issued by the 'Plumbing Industry Commission' which guarantees you workmanship for 6 years.
